I am terribly sorry you have had this experience, Each of Atariya’s shop Manager’s has been informed of this compliant and have been advised to talk to each of their team members and make it perfectly clear, we provide a high standard of service and nothing else will be tolerated.
I hope your future visits will be a more Happy experience in the Future...

I was shocked by one of the Golders Green shop assistant's attitude this afternoon. She was really rude and could not answer my questions properly. When I asked some advice on how to prepare a specific type of rice she said to me " if you don't know how to cook, don't buy it then!" this is completely unacceptable and humiliated me.
I noticed that no one said " Irasshai mase" " Arigatou gozaimasita" and also about 4 staffs were chatting away over the counter ignoring customers. I expect a much higher standard of service from a Japanese store.
I have visited several Atariya shops in London but only West Acton one has given me a good service. I live in Finchley but I would rather travel that far to get better attitude.
I know we are in London not in Japan but we should never forget to appreciate customers who comes in to spend their money.
